The Podium Group

The Assignment:
We were tasked with creating the brand for a new financial services practice focused on providing executive benefits, advice and consultation to professional athletes and other highly skilled overachievers, including C-suite executives and leaders in the fields of medicine and business.

The Brand Name:
With a target audience that includes athletes and others who ply their trade at the pinnacle of their professions, we looked to the world of athletics for inspiration. The Podium Group was chosen as it elicits positive notions of success and achievement, and it reflects the exclusive nature of highly competitive environments.

The Visual Identity:
We developed and explored a series of approaches that would most effectively represent the brand’s new name. The ultimate choice features the letter P inside a circular medallion shape. Look closely and the P itself is placed simply on a podium base inside the medal. Gold and black colors were utilized to convey strength, value and timelessness. The rich gold chosen also represents the medal color given to those who reach the top step of the podium. Foil stamping and embossing on printed materials further elevate the exclusive nature of the look.
